Senior Engineer - Structural Buildings

As part of the major infrastructure programme underway at the Devonport site, VGC are recruiting Senior Engineer - Structural Buildings for a Tier 1 main contractor who are delivering substantial upgrades to existing infrastructure that will support the future capability of the Royal Navy and the UK’s Defence Nuclear Enterprise. 

Due to continued growth the position of Senior EngineerStructural Buildings A & B has become available to join our successful team based in Plymouth.

The Devonport project based in Plymouth is a capital portfolio at the heart of ensuring the security of the country through future proofing the UK’s continuous at sea deterrent. 

Potential candidates must be able to obtain and retain Security Clearance to be able to be considered.

The role is based in Plymouth with Hybrid working available.

Role Requirements

• Civil/Structural Engineering (predominantly buildings experience)
• Seismic Design (preferable)
• Management of sub-contractors/consultants
• A minimum of a Batchelor’s Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering
• Preferred Chartered Engineer, registered with Engineering Council.
