Senior Environment and Planning Solicitor

We are looking to recruit a Senior Environment and Planning Solicitor on behalf of a major client in the Water industry who is currently seeking to expand their Legal team.

Reporting to Head of Legal, the Senior Environment and Planning Solicitor will provide legal advice, analysis and support to:
* Wide range of BAU environmental and Planning legal matters;
* Assisting with legal aspects of water resource management;
* Supporting the Water for Life Hampshire (and related) programme
* Assisting with Environmental Information Regulation queries received from our EIR Officer and responses
* Managing external legal resources

Skills, experience and qualifications needed:
* Qualified solicitor/barrister with post-qualification experience in environmental and Planning law and practice (ideally not less than 5 years PQE, but other relevant experience would be considered).
* Previous experience working on Environment and Planning issues essential.
* Technical expert in their field and preferably an acknowledged authority.
* Knowledge of statutory and environmental regulations within the UK water industry
