Job Title:Senior Environmental Advisor

Location: North London

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 + Car Allowance + Additional Benefits

Are you passionate about making a difference in the construction industry? As a Senior Environmental Advisor, you will take a leading role in shaping our client's sustainability strategy and ensuring we minimize our environmental impact.

What you'll do:

• Spearhead our sustainability strategy: Play a key role in developing and implementing our environmental management system, aligning it with ISO 14001:2015 standards.
• Drive environmental excellence: Be the go-to expert on environmental issues for all projects, guiding teams through design, construction, and beyond.
• Master the EIA process: Lead environmental impact assessments for early project schemes, securing planning permission and meeting all requirements.
• Manage risks and opportunities: Proactively identify environmental risks and opportunities on projects, ensuring sound practices minimize impact and maximize benefits.
• Navigate environmental regulations: Liaise with stakeholders to obtain licenses and consents, guaranteeing compliance throughout project lifecycles.
• Empower others: Deliver environmental and sustainability training to project teams, building a culture of awareness and responsibility.
• Sharpen our approach: Conduct regular audits and inspections, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring best practices are shared across the company.
• Bridge the gap: Collaborate with subcontractors and consultants, ensuring their environmental practices align with our own.
• Be a voice for the community: Build relationships with local communities, addressing concerns and exploring engagement opportunities.
• Stay informed and proactive: Conduct incident investigations, manage third-party audits, and stay abreast of evolving environmental regulations.

Who you are:

• An effective communicator with confidence to speak in a wide range of audiences
• Organised with good time management skills
• Able to work on their own initiative
• Enthusiastic, motivated, hardworking and conscientious.
• Computer literate with excellent report writing skills

• Degree in an Environmental discipline and/or IEMA associate
• Practitioner member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.
