• Provide HSE advice and support to operations teams to allow Managers and Supervisors to discharge their duties in respect of managing health, safety and environmental matters on site.
• Chair internal & Client HSE Forums/Meetings with project teams, including prestart meetings to ensure readiness to commence works.
• Promote and sustain a positive safety culture across sites.
• Develop and review of project plans, with the Operational teams, ensuring they align with blu-3 and client requirements.
• Carry out regular inspections across allocated projects/sites to ensure compliance with RAMS, blu-3 procedures and statutory provisions, promoting best practice in HSE performance and encouraging innovation.
• Use reporting data to identify and analyse trends in HSE performance and develop action plans to address shortfalls. Proactively find and propose improvements.
• Investigate incidents utilising root cause analysis techniques to make recommendations to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and implement HSE campaigns/initiatives across the business.
• Work with the Compliance team to review and update HSE procedures, processes and forms. Where necessary, develop new documentation.
• Make recommendations for improvements where necessary to support the needs of the business.
• Provide input and review of pre-qualification, tender and HSE award submissions.
• Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks and other training as required to support project teams.
• Attend and engage fully in any learning and development activities that are deemed appropriate by your line management.
• Participate in team meetings / training / toolbox talks / business meetings as necessary.
• Participate and engage in performance review processes and work to develop as a HSE professional.

• NEBOSH Construction / General Certificate
• CSCS Card
• Understanding of ISO:45001 and ISO:14001 requirements
• IT Proficient, predominantly in the use of Microsoft 365
• Interpersonal skills: able to build rapport with Clients and Senior Managers and communicate effectively at all levels
• Confidence to challenge unsafe acts/behaviours and stop works if required in agreement with Project Management
• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to cater to different audiences
