Senior Environmental Manager

Our Client owns one of the leading projects in Europe and this is one of the largest, most innovative and exciting projects.
This Senior Environmental Manager role is leading the Integrated Project Team (IPT), assuring that design and construction within the team is in accordance with organisational and sponsor requirements and policies (including the Environmental Minimum Requirements (EMRs)), environmental commitments, environmental law and regulations. This role is responsible for providing client delivery support to the IPT through guidance on environmental design and construction requirements and assuring that environmental issues and constraints are key considerations in project design and construction implementation.
This is not only a specialist Environmental role but a leadership role where you will be liaising with contractors, internal departments and other leading National Authorities to ensure the project is carried out according to the strategy and plan designed. These skills are paramount.
You will need to be a Chartered Environmentalist or equivalent. Your experience must include working on large scale projects, able to Manage multi-disciplinary engineering and environmental standards (including BREEM) and activity on a complex infrastructure programme.
You will need understanding of CDM regulations and NEC contracts.
This position will be managing both an internal and external matrix of a number of people including other Senior Environmental Managers, Contractors Leads, Technical specialists internally including project managers, engineers and health and safety managers.
