Senior Events Executive

Salary: GBP27,900 to GBP36,300 pro rata

Location: Cambridge/Hybrid

Contract: Fixed Term Contract/ Part time (21 hours per week) - Ends January 2025

Does the prospect of a varied events role, working in a busy global team to deliver best-in-class events and webinars excite you?


If so, we are looking for an organised, innovative, and customer-focused Senior Events Executive to join our newly merged International Education marketing team. In this role you will lead on, develop, and execute our global webinar campaigns and work with the Events Manager on the operational planning and implementation of other excellent physical, virtual, and hybrid events that meet customer needs, and are aligned with proposition, brand, and commercial marketing objectives.

As part of the Events marketing team, the Senior Events Executive role will also work closely with our Regional Marketing Managers on collating regional events plans, measuring events success and ensuring our events and webinars have the maximum impact.

About the role

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Events Manager with operational planning/scheduling for in-person, hybrid, and virtual events.
  • Lead on the planning and scheduling of Global webinar.
  • Support product campaigns and other Global marketing initiatives.
  • Work closely with stakeholders in Marketing Product & Propositions.
  • Lead on collation and reporting of regional events plans and budgets, liaising closely with Regional Marketing Managers and working with the Events Manager.
  • Lead on collation, recording and reporting of ROI/ROO and other key success metrics for all regional events.
  • Own, regularly maintain and train global and local marketing teams on event planning and process documentation.

About you

To excel in this role you will have a proven track record of success in event management and, with experience in planning webinar campaigns and tracking events success.
We're looking for someone who:

  • Considers the customer experience in everything you do.
  • Has experience planning and delivering Global webinars.
  • Can proactively influence and advise event stakeholders on event design.
  • Is passionate about measuring event success, impact, KPIs, and analytics.
  • Will be comfortable supporting and training a large, multi-functional, global team.
  • Comfortable discussing high level complex details with the senior management team.
