Our client, an accountancy firm, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior External Auditor to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading audit engagements, providing strategic insights, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements. This pivotal role demands a profound understanding of auditing standards, exceptional analytical abilities, and robust leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior External Auditor:

• Lead and manage multiple audit engagements, ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements
• Plan and execute audit strategies, including risk assessments, audit testing, and evaluation of internal controls
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management and clients
• Supervise and mentor junior auditors, providing guidance and support in their professional development
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in auditing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide value-added insights and enhance overall business processes
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention

Key essentials of the Senior External Auditor:

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Proficiency in audit software
