Are you passionate about precision and detail-oriented finance work? We're seeking a talented individual to join our dynamic Central Accounting Team. As part of this team, you'll play a crucial role in processing all accounting transactions for our Head office and specified centres across the UK, India, and Australia.
Reporting Line: You'll report directly to the Senior Manager, UK Central Accounting.
Job Purpose: Your primary mission will be to ensure the delivery of accurate financial information, up to trial balance level, within your designated area of responsibility. This area may encompass various UK Centres or Head office companies.
Key Accountabilities and Duties:
- Prepare trial balances for specific INTO Centres, ensuring meticulous accuracy.
- Take charge of month-end journals, covering prepayments, accruals, payroll, depreciation, and other adjustment journals.
- Process monthly Revenue and maintain an updated Deferred Income Schedule, utilizing the Salesforce RevRec model.
- Manage the Fixed Asset Register, including posting monthly depreciation charges.
- Keep control accounts up to date monthly, guaranteeing the Balance Sheet's accuracy and reconciling intercompany accounts.
- Collaborate with Management Accountants for each Centre, aiding in month-end reviews and resolving any account-related queries.
- Assist in the preparation of Internal and External Audit files, along with relevant audit schedules, and address audit queries effectively.
- Engage in various ad-hoc projects and requests as needed, showcasing your versatility and adaptability.
- Provide coverage for team members during absences and lend assistance in other functions upon request.
- Participate in the preparation of tax packs for JVs and quarterly VAT and/or GST returns for JVs, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
