Seagate offers data storage solutions to help people and businesses maximize the value of data. The Wafer Operations finance team provides finance and business support to the Wafer factory operations team across two locations - Minnesota, USA, and Springtown Northern Ireland. The team is part of a global finance team that also supports Seagate operations in China, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.
"Candidates who are interested in this role must be based in Northern Ireland, This is to enable you to work Hybrid and work in the Springtown, Derry / Londonderry site, at least three days per week."
About the role - you will:
Act as a finance business partner to Directors within Wafer factory operations- Provide support to cost centre owners to meet business objectives and provide insight and explanations for actual and forecasted performance.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, outlooks, quarterly budgets, and other key reports as required.
- Monitor and explain Key factory performance indicators.
- Perform insightful scenario modelling and capital investment appraisals.
- Support the wafer operations cost accounting, activity reporting and work-in-progress reconciliations and audit.
- Be required to be flexible and transfer to any other duties considered necessary to meet the needs of the business.
About you:
Strong financial and management accounting skills.- Analytical with ability to interpret complex data sets and form conclusions.
- Are confident working independently and as part of a team with a willingness to learn and positive. attitude, and must be able to work professionally in a fast-paced, demanding environment professionally.
- Are proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and accounting software.
- Possess strong oral, analytical, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with all levels of an organisation.
- Have a “hands-on” mentality.
- Qualified/part-qualified accountant or similar qualification or qualified by experience.
Your experience includes:
Significant experience (at least five years) within a professional, corporate or similar environment.- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- High level of knowledge of key business tools – MS Office Products, ERP systems and analytical tools.
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
You may also have:
Experience in an international environment.- Experience of SAP accounting software.
- Experience of cost accounting.
- Experience in in utilizing data analytics tools and techniques to analyze trends, identify patterns, and make data-driven decisions.

This is a Full-Time position working 39 hours per week.
