Senior Finance Business Partner

This forward-thinking public sector organisation are currently seeking an innovative Senior Finance Business Partner to join their large team on a permanent basis. Reporting into a highly experienced Head of Finance, you will manage a capable team of Finance Business Partners to ensure the delivery of accurate and timely financial information to form the basis of decision making in the short, medium and long term.

The key duties of this Senior Finance Business Partner are as follows:

• Manage a team of seven Finance Business Partners, driving a culture of continuous improvement through critical challenge, leadership and coaching.
• Be accountable for the organisation’s budget monitoring process, reviewing the monthly monitoring returns for each division and challenging any anomalies as required.
• Full responsibility for producing summarised financial progress reports for review by the SLT on a monthly basis and the Executive Board on a quarterly basis.
• Ensure that a value-add Business Partnering service is being delivered to all stakeholders across the organisation, acting as the key point of escalation for any issues.
• Provide critical support to the Head of Finance in the development and maintenance of the organisation’s medium-term financial plan.
• Be at the forefront of several process improvement projects, spotting opportunities and taking the lead in new areas in the interest of enhancing working efficiencies.

Furthermore, this role will officially be based out of the organisation’s head office in Ipswich, but opportunities to work from home are on offer for up to four days per week, in addition to flexible working or condensed hours.

The successful candidate will have:

• Achieved their full accountancy qualification or be on the final level.
• Previous experience managing a team.
• A background working in a Business Partnering and management accounts focused role.
• Ideally, experience working within the NHS or a local authority, but this is by no means essential.
• Demonstrable experience of improving processes and adding value.
