Reed Talent Solutions are currently working with a forward-thinking West Yorkshire based Public Sector organisation to recruit a Finance Business Partner on a permanent basis. The post-holder will lead on providing financial advice to the Directorate(s), including the allocation of resource and how short-medium term objectives can be aligned and affordable within available resources.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the Directorate(s) Business Partnering function, ensuring the Director(s) and all Budget holders within the Directorate(s) are fully supported in their financial understanding through the provision of meaningful financial information, and provide both challenge to them as well as supporting them in delivering innovative solutions to funding problems.
- Provide the Directorate(s) with robust challenge, professional recommendations and financial guidance to facilitate the efficient, effective and economic use of resources by non-financial colleagues.
- Work with Director(s) to promote alignment of outcomes, targets and funding strategies through the effective allocation of resources to support joint initiatives.
- Encourage a partnership approach to work across the organisation and externally.
- Provide clear direction, focussing on developing and motivating your team(s) to ensure targets are achieved.
- Manage the workflow of the team to deliver a strong performance management culture, where people are accountable for the delivery of results. © Monitor productivity levels and balance of skills within your team, taking action to ensure that they are equipped to complete their work.

Essential Criteria
- Holds a degree in a relevant field or significant demonstrable practical experience.
- CIMA / CCAB qualified (CIPFA, ACCA, ICAEW, ICAS, ICAI).
- Practical experience of successfully performing in a similar role.
- Strong understanding and extensive experience of financial controls.
- Ability to demonstrate deep understanding and expertise of financial procedures within a Local Authority environment.
