Brakes are on the hunt for an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to join the Independent Sales Finance Team on a full time, permanent basis. This role is offering a Hybrid working contract so can be based anywhere in the Kent area, you will be required to attend the Ashford, Kent office once or twice per week.

Reporting into the Finance Director, you’ll be responsible for providing strategic analysis and insight into the business performance of our Independent Sales Division, partnering the Central Region Sales Director. Expect to work closely with the Operational teams to analyse and monitor the division’s key performance indicators; sales, profitability ratios, and investigating variances to budget or year on year movements. A key role to drive probability and support the sales team in achieving set KPIs. The successful candidate will line manage a Finance Associate who will be there to analyse data and create reporting, for you to then present back valuable insights and recommendations to various stakeholders which will support with continuous improvement and growth.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Analysis & monitoring of the division’s key performance indicators; sales, profitability ratios, and investigating variances to budget or year on year movements
  • Developing of models to provide insight on key metrics. Working with the sales team to ensure the reports provide required detail & then managing the subsequent hand over to Sales Ops. Ensuring on-going accuracy of reporting
  • Provide insight into projects to include initial evaluation, feedback and ongoing success tracking
  • Liaise with managers to rigorously challenge and question their plan assumptions and KPIs on an on-going basis
  • Production of weekly trading deck
  • Working closely with regional business units to consolidate budgets and rolling projections and analysing variances
  • A central point of contact for internal customers for finance related queries
  • Ad hoc analysis/guidance to improve performance to drive sales and margin

You’ll be CIMA, ACA, ACCA qualified, working in a Finance Manager or Partner role looking to take the next step in your career. As you will be partnering the Central Sales Division, we are looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced commercial environment and has strong communication and stakeholder manager skills across all levels up to Exec. You will be an expert managing Cost Control and Capex and be able to think logically and outside the box, Confident to push back and challenge the status quo where required. Someone with strong analytical skills and a high level of competency in finance modelling is essential. A great role for an analytical thinker with strong influencing skills to join the team!

Desirable:

  • Advanced MS Office including Excel skills
  • SAP / BW experience
  • Project Management experience
  • People management.
