Senior Finance Business Partner (Travel Required)

I am partnered with a leading international logistics company who are seeking a Finance Business Partner to oversee a key customer and manage a team of 5. This role requires strong commercial acumen.

The position is fully operational and will involve travel to three locations: Andover, Avonmouth, and Warrington. The Warrington site visit is required every two weeks initially but will decrease to once a month once a strong relationship with the Operations Director is established. On days when not on site, you will work from home, ideally with a 50/50 split between on-site and remote work.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with Divisional MD's, Operations Directors, and the Divisional Finance Director. The main goal is to ensure that this business unit reaches its maximum potential.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with non-finance staff, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and objectives (Managing Director, Operations Director, Account Director).
• Provide financial analysis and insight, identifying trends and opportunities to drive performance.
• Lead the development of team structure and individuals, ensuring strong succession planning. Implement standardised processes to facilitate cross-operational support and create a skill matrix to strengthen the team.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing input and guidance to the wider business.

Key requirements:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience in commercial finance.
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to understand and analyse business performance.
• Experience within the logistics or multi-site sector able to work under pressure during busy periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
