Your new role
The role is initially 6 months with an opportunity to extend into a permanent role.
You will be reporting to the Finance Manager and Head of Finance.
The job role will encompass the following duties:

• Collate hours of attendance, sick, holidays and so forth, for the entry into payroll. (Actual payroll will be calculated elsewhere.) Liaising with payroll.
• Completed payroll, report to respective pension providers, HMRC, and arrange payments through the bank.
• Assist and work on the preparation of: Purchase ledger, including cash payments, processing invoices and reconciling statements: Sales ledger, including receipts, invoicing and reconciling statements.
• Following company procedures in the execution of the Purchase and Sales ledger.
• Gift aid claims and VAT returns.
• Where necessary, prepare and enter accruals, prepayments and some journals.
• Assist the Finance Manager in preparation of monthly accounts reports.
• To fulfil other similar duties as and when required, in the performance of the office.

The company uses Sage Line 50 so previous experience of this system would be an advantage.
What you\'ll need to succeed

You will have a minimum of 2-4 years finance experience including purchase and sales ledger and ideally experience in payroll although this is not essential.
Ideally have previous experience working with Sage systems. Ability to start quickly.

What you\'ll get in return
On-site parking, 37 hours per week with flexible working. Although the role is initially temporary the role may extended into a permanent contract.
