Senior Finance Officer

Robertson Bell are excited to announce their partnership with this fantastic and well know public sector organisation as they go to market for a Senior Finance Officer on a permanent basis. This role will give you valuable input and oversight of the success and operational side of the organisation’s finance department having an involvements in many different areas.

In this role as Senior Finance Officer you will:

• Ensure purchase orders, goods received notes, invoices and BACS payments are processed accurately and timey.  
• Provide crucial support to stakeholders of varying degrees of seniority and financial knowledge helping prepare budgets and forecasts.
• Assisting with monthly payroll journals, vat returns and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Be responsible for cash postings, filing receipts and producing adhoc reports using pivot tables and Vlookups.

The ideal Senior Finance Officer candidate will:

• Hold, or working towards, an AAT qualification and aspire to become a fully-qualified ACCA, CIMA or equivalent Accountant.
• Have an in-depth and all rounded understanding of transactional finance.
• Work well in a team environment, have good communication skills and be able to liaise with non-finance professionals.
