Due to continued growth and capital investment, our client is looking to strengthen the finance team and recruit a Senior Financial Accountant to support growth and strategic plans. The Senior Financial Accountant will be based at their offices in Colchester, Essex.
Your new role
The Senior Financial Accountant will combine their financial expertise with strong analytical and communication skills to provide financial insight and influence strategic financial decisions within the business. Your role will involve analysing complex financial data, implementing advanced accounting practices, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications:
Advanced Financial Analysis:
Utilise your extensive expertise in technical accounting to analyse financial statements, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
Develop financial models and simulations to assess economic scenarios and evaluate the company's financial health.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Produce accurate and detailed budgets based on historical data, market trends, and business goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial plans with strategic objectives.
Statutory Compliance:
Prepare and review statutory accounts with precision and accuracy.
Stay updated on accounting regulations and ensure adherence to legal requirements.
Audit Management:
Successfully manage annual audit procedures by coordinating with external auditors.
Address audit findings and implement corrective actions.
Reporting
Production and review of accurate and timely monthly management accounts with analysis and commentary
Weekly cashflow reporting
Risk Mitigation:
Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Implement robust internal controls and monitor compliance.
What you'll need to succeed
The Senior Financial Accountant will be a qualified accountant
Proven track record of producing accurate budgets and financial forecasts.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.
Experience managing annual audits.
Manage data
Advanced Excel skills
What you'll get in return
The Senior Financial Accountant will be offered a salary £55,000 to £65,000 plus benefits.
