Senior Financial Accountant

Hays Senior Finance are working with a global manufacturing business who are looking to expand their Finance department with a Senior Financial Accountant. This internationally owned business has a modern and innovative production facility with significant investment in R&D. The business has a solid foundation in the area with a long-standing and highly skilled workforce. They have long-term contracts so employees can genuinely build a career and progress with this company.
As Senior Financial Accountant you will report into an experienced Finance Manager who can provide training and guidance. As Senior Financial Accountant you will take responsibility for financial reporting and statutory accounts.
Key duties will include -

• Assist in completion of monthly financial statement close
• Prepare and record standard and non-routine journal entries and ensure the accuracy of information through monthly analysis and reconciliation. Determine adjustments required and prepare journal entries for related account activity.
• Prepare and maintain schedules such as external/internal loans, interests and foreign currency valuation, capital/operation lease schedule and evaluation.
• Record inter-company transactions and confirmation with other assets.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with preparation of monthly US reporting requirements such as completion of monthly reporting checklists and fluctuations analyses.
• Process cash entries not related to accounts payable disbursement
• Prepare and maintain fixed assets, expense accruals and prepaid schedules.
• Assist Finance Manager in the completion of annual statutory financial statement and tax audits.

We are keen to speak to both fully and finalist level accountants for this role who can demonstrate solid Financial Accounting. The business supports employees to progress and offers plenty of hybrid working outside of month end. This could be viewed as an excellent role to transition into Finance Manager and Financial Controller roles or a job for life.
