Financial Accountant who is passionate about their work. Financial Accountant Responsibilities:- Assisting with the accounting for Group acquisitions and related financial statement
- Assisting with all Group tax matters (corporation tax, VAT, payroll, transfer pricing, R&D) and assisting in maintaining the group's tax risk register
- Maintaining a global Group statutory compliance timetable and compliance risk register
- Managing subsidiary audits and financial statements for all entities in the group
- Group sustainability reporting including assistance in the preparation of the annual report
- Working with external auditors and advisors
- Monitoring financial controls, including analysing data to help prevent fraudulent activity
- Highlighting areas in need of improvement, along with promoting compliance
- Leading the team in standardisation and continuous improvement activities
- Reviewing and accounting for company share schemes
- Assisting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts
- Integration of new subsidiaries within the Group, aligning processes and procedures where required
Required Skills & Experience:- Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Understanding of basic tax/ VAT principles
- Familiarity with statutory financial statement requirements
- Competent in use of Excel
- Strong leadership and communication skills under pressure/tight deadlines
- Highly self-motivated - with the ability to self-critique and perform self-assessment
