My client produces exceptional cutting-edge consumer business and enterprise software applications.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Senior / Lead React Developer to join their ever-expanding family.
The successful candidate will be joining a multicultural team which is moving forward at light speed, and we are looking for a hands on, conscientious and technically excellent Senior React Developer with impressive analytic and communication skills.
You’ll ideally have experience of mentoring junior developers, helping them adopt new approaches to problem-solving and encouraging areas for growth and improvement within the team as well as playing a pivotal role in helping to shape our culture as well as embedding quality and best practices throughout the development processs.
- Building and maintaining Web and Mobile UI/UX applications
- Carrying out peer reviews
- Act as a champion for best practices and continuous learning
- Act as a mentor for junior members of the development team
- Involvement in the project process - from estimating development work to helping refine designs.
- Collaborating and working with like-minded people across our Product, Development, Testing and Project Management Teams
- Problem-solving and debugging
What we need from you:
- Essential experienced with React and React Native as well as working cross platform apps on Android and iOS.
- Commercial experience working in a client centric role preferably within a SaaS company with JavaScript frameworks.
- Great knowledge of HTML, CSS / SASS and JS. Typescript preferred.
- Experience in using Git to manage version control as well as reviewing code of other team members via pull requests.
- Up-to-date knowledge of responsive web design, development practices and an understanding of what defines good quality code.
- Great problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills
- Practical experience of working with JIRA
- Understanding of CI/CD processes
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and operate in a changeable environment.
- Super organized: ability to prioritize, multitask and meet deadlines with experience of working on simultaneous projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- A desire to learn continuously, pick up new skills and get to know new technologies.
- Brilliant communication skills and the ability to communicate credibly at all levels within an organisation.
- Team player: you enjoy working with others. You have a proactive attitude, and you like to make things move forward.
Nice-to-have:
- Keen interest in the mobile app industry and new technologies
- Project management experience and knowledge of industry recognised working practices, such as SCRUM.
- Experience with unit testing (Jest/Storybook)
- Some exposure to GraphQL and Redux
- Knowledge of implementing accessibility best practises
