Job description

Harris Hill are delighted to be working with the leading UK charity for doctors, medical students and their families to recruit a Senior Fundraising Officer. This charity provides financial help, mental health support and practical advice to people whose lives have been turned upside down by adversity.

They are looking for an experienced Senior Fundraiser to join a small fundraising and communications team. The role is focused on growing income from the existing donor database in order to develop our mid-level and High Net Worth Individuals programmes and legacy programme.  You will also use your experience to identify, attract and cultivate new donors.   

Key responsibilities include;

 Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and Communications to implement donor segmentation, build on supporter stewardship and appeal strategies for mid-level and high value individuals. 

  • Identifying potential major donors and approach them for support in an appropriate and GDPR compliant manner.

  • Producing compelling written funding proposals, give verbal presentations and make face to face asks as part of donor solicitation.   

  • Supporting with the creation and implementation of a legacy and in memory strategy.

  • Updating the Charity CRM database to ensure efficient, appropriate data capture and analysis for the purpose of effective stewardship, fundraising and communications.

  • Assisting with the administration, planning and delivery of wider fundraising activities as required.

 This is a part time position for 21 hours per week, starting in May 2024. and is a hybrid working position.

The advertised salary is the full time equivalent. The pro-rata'd salary will be £23,966- £25,200.
