We have an amazing role for a Senior Growth / Commercial Growth Manager to join us at Checkatrade! You’ll be responsible for defining and delivering growth strategy across our print directory channel. Established in 1998, directories continue to be at the core of Checkatrade’s model and brand mission, and we have exciting plans to evolve the channel for a new chapter of growth. You’ll drive the P&L for print directories, achieving results through coordinated campaigns and activity across product, pricing, promotions, and marketing. With your support, we’ll accelerate growth of our #1 omni-channel marketplace and help in achieving our new mission ‘to be the trusted foundation of every home’. Location: Portsmouth or King's Cross, London. Hybrid working applies. Flexibility to travel between both locations will be required.
Where do you fit in?
Reporting directly to the Head of Department you’ll lead key commercial and product initiatives for our directories from ideation to delivery. With a circulation of 80million printed copies last year, you’ll spearhead omni-channel thinking to increase synergies between our directories and web channels. You’ll also co-operate cross functionally with marketing, sales, retention and finance to ensure successful P&L delivery. You’ll assume a test and learn approach, continually improving the product performance offline and online, and constantly identifying further innovation opportunities. You’ll also focus on directory retention by assessing end to end drivers, developing solutions, and managing implementation. With your strong commercial experience you’ll identify and articulate high impact, deliverable plans, winning buy-in from senior leaders and teams to drive results. Ultimately, you’ll act as the catalyst for growth across our directories channel.

What do you need to succeed?
- Degree qualified in business or related field combined with a proven track record of developing commercial plans to deliver growth.
- Background in commercial management, business strategy, marketing, or product.
- Analytical and structured thinker; consumer-obsessed and passionate leveraging data and consumer insights to inform business strategy and decision-making.
- Demonstrated business judgment and the ability to identify, prioritise, and articulate highest impact initiatives.
- Excellent communications skills (written and verbal) to drive recommendations, articulate trade-offs, and communicate plans to senior leaders and teams.
