About Our Client

Job Description
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead and take ownership of decants, monitoring and managing the decants to ensure timescales are maintained and accurate records are kept up to date.
- Lead on customer communication for decants, providing direct liaison with affected residents, ensuring they are given the correct support and advice throughout the decant process
- Chair weekly progress meetings, ensuring all decants are carried out in line with policy and procedures.
- Provide specialist advice and guidance to colleagues, involved third parties and residents on the decant process.
- Undertake housing needs assessments on residents identified for decanting.
- Proactively work to locate suitable offers of permanent accommodation, and arrange preparations for the new homes and removals, and signing up of residents
- Responsible for overseeing all administration tasks relating to the decant process, including arranging eligible payments and ensuring existing arrangements such as council tax are informed and assist residents with welfare payments.
- Fully investigate and respond to all complaints and informal comments about service delivery, ensuring appropriate steps are taken to correct any failing.
- Detailed record keeping of approximate and activating the insurance team to offset the decant budget expenditure.
- Keep up to date with legislative and regulatory changes relating to landlord responsibilities, including statutory and discretionary compensation payments.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will:
Experience of social housing ideally in the area of lettings, tenancies and allocations- Experience of consulting and maximising engagement with residents
- Able to communicate effectively and with sensitivity and empathy.
- Have a proven track record in project management, or be able to show where you have managed an entire process and seen it through to completion
- Professional, friendly, honest and open with a positive 'can do' attitude.
- Self-motivated, performance driven with the ability to organise own work and work under pressure.
- Customer focused with initiative to assess situations and make decisions quickly and effectively.
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Knowledge of building maintenance and safety landlord responsibilities
