Senior Housing Services Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen to contribute to the effective running of the Housing Service, managing a small team of Support Officers and Estate Wardens who provide front-line services for tenants

 Who?

 We are looking for an enthusiastic, inquisitive and experienced administrator to manage a small team of support Services Officers and estate wardens, in addition to the postholder’s own workload.

What will you be doing?

•  Working in a busy team that provides front-line service to the Council’s clients and support to the Housing Management team
• Managing and improving the systems and administration within the Housing Management service
• Managing the support services team who carry out a vast range of admin duties to ensure the smooth running of the Housing Service, along with managing the estate wardens who maintain community safety for residents on the Council’s housing estates

What do you need?

•  Strong administrative skills and experience of working with different computer systems and databases, along with a willingness to accept challenges and embrace change
• Experience of working in a customer-focussed environment and the ability to deal efficiently and sympathetically with members of the public
• The ability to identify service improvements and the drive to make these changes happen
• Experience of managing staff and knowledge of working in social housing is desirable
