Senior HR Operations Manager - HR Shared Services

Due to impressive expansion and success, our Belfast City Centre Client, a leading, international professional services organisation wishes to recruit a new, permanent Senior Manager, HR Services.

Essentially, an excellent HR Manager who can lead the HR Shared Service Centre for Belfast.

The successful Senior Manager - HR Services/HR Shared Services Manager will support the Head of HR Services deliver operational excellence across multiple teams for both internal and external clients (UK, UAE, Belgium, Netherlands and France).

The HR Shared Service Manager will strive to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of processes and manage the transition of new offices from across the network into the HR Shared Service Centre, ensuring a return on investment for the business.

The Role:

• Line management responsibility for the Belfast HR Services Team
• Lead continuous improvement , meeting appropriate performance and efficiency benchmarks to reduce operational costs
• Drive a culture of operational excellence
• Work with line managers/clients to thoroughly plan and organise the team workload in order to effectively deliver agreed outputs in an efficient manner
• Continual assessment of the work within areas of responsibility, working with managers to develop practical solutions to service improvement, enabling teams to undertake value add activities
• Ensure adherence to internal policies and good practice across teams, helping managers to continually improve, plan and implement change
• Actively contribute to the strategic and operational agenda, influencing internal clients through effective communication and relationship building
• Plan and lead projects, taking into account impacts on HR business processes, capacity within the team and projects
• Manage escalations and responses to service delivery
• Assist with the assimilation of new business and stakeholders to the HR Shared Service Centre
• Provide functional input to the Service Delivery Framework
• Keep up to date with trends in HR Shared Services to identify opportunities

The Person:

• 3rd level qualification, essential
• Strong functional HR knowledge of both systems and processes in multinational professional services or commercial organisations
• Experience in a wide range of HR services including resourcing, early careers, HR operations and payroll.
• Ability to deliver high quality client service through the building of strong trusted advisor relationships with clients
• Strong commercial/business acumen
• Experience of managing via KPIs, SLA and other performance metrics
• Ability to manage strategically and act operationally during periods of stability and change
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in designing, implementing and monitoring effective commercial HR solutions, including transitioning processes/services
• Exceptional organisational and project management skills
