What you will do
We are looking for a Senior HVAC&R Sales Engineer for our Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Business (HVAC&R) team who are part of the Building Technologies and Solutions business. Johnson Controls offers the largest portfolio of HVAC&R equipment and controls in the world. You can find our solutions at work in offices and factories, in warehouses and stores, in campuses and hospitals, in apartment buildings and hotels.
The Senior Sales Engineer position is a new & exciting sales role that reports directly into the Sales Manager for the JCI Ireland HVAC&R business. The role will focus on sales via the end user and specification/ consultant market but will also have responsibility for several named main contractors and M&E Contractors. You will have the opportunity to build on any existing customer relationships you may have whilst driving new business across your network. You will be targeting product driven opportunities within our HVAC sector that translate into profitable growth. You will develop, communicate, and implement a comprehensive plan to grow the YORK and SABROE brand in Ireland.

How you will do it
As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will function independently and be customer focused. You will understand your customer base and work to align their needs with our services. You will establish relationships to develop and expand your portfolio. Your outstanding interpersonal skills will help deliver a positive impression of JCI as we strive to grow and develop this area of our business. Through your proven sales experience and successful track record you will identify new customers and sales across your region.
What we look for
- Sales experience within HVAC&R industry
- Knowledge of Chillers, Heat Pumps, AHU's and Central Air Conditioning Systems
- Keen Interest in Industrial Refrigeration and Heat Pump Technology
- Technical knowledge to degree level or equivalent experience.
- The ability to build new accounts and expand accounts of existing clients
- Previous sales know-how within a commercial environment
- Ability to lead and influence both internal & external stakeholders at all levels
- Excellency in verbal and written communication skills, with the potential to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
