SalarySenior Hydraulic Engineer
Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Senior Hydraulic Engineer to join a leading Construction and Engineering company on a long term contract basis. My client is seeking a Senior Hydraulic Engineer to join their Water Engineering Team.
The successful candidate will provide specialist hydraulic support for water and wastewater projects, from feasibility studies to detailed design and construction. This role requires a strong background in steady-state hydraulic design and analysis, as well as excellent communication and technical skills This role is Contract, Hybrid with an Outside of Scope Of IR35 pending determination.
Key Responsibilities
Specialist Hydraulic Support:
- Provide expert Hydraulic Engineering support for water and wastewater projects.
- Identify design, assessment, optimisation, and analysis requirements and scopes.
- Determine appropriate analysis techniques for each project.
Modelling and Analysis:
- Generate and manage modelling and analysis outputs.
- Develop effective design solutions considering short, medium, and long-term impacts.
Project Services:
- Offer services ranging from asset optimisation and feasibility studies to detailed design, construction, and handover.
Technical Documentation:
- Prepare technical reports, fee proposals, bids, budgets, and resource level documents.
- Ensure compliance with HSE,CDM and QA requirements.
Experience and Skills
- Proven experience in steady-state hydraulic design and analysis for wastewater treatment works. - Essential
- Ability to confidently explain technical work to colleagues and clients. Essential
- Experience with HADES software. - Preferred
- Knowledge of numerical methods of hydraulic analysis. Preferred
- Understanding of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) principles and physical modelling. Preferred
- Experience working with other technical disciplines such as Civil, Process, and MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation). Preferred
- Familiarity with site operations on wastewater treatment projects. Preferred
Qualifications
- A degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering subject.
- Membership or active pursuit of membership in a relevant professional chartered institute.
