Role: Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Linux & Storage)
Location: Hybrid - home based with 1/2 days per week on-site in Cardiff

Our Client: Our Client is a Government Agency, with over 1,000 Employees delivering essential commercial data services to UK businesses.
Role Summary:
- Join a small specialist team delivering daily support to the infrastructure that supports both front-end services and back-end databases and the storage solutions that holds critical data. Covering core 08.30 - 17.00 hours Monday to Friday.
- Take part in a 24/7/365 rota.
- Proactively monitor systems performance, taking preventative or corrective action as required.
- Support and develop Linux and storage infrastructure, (on-site and could), ensuring availability, performance and resilience.
- Support ongoing migration of services to cloud (AWS).
- Decommission redundant systems/hardware
- Document processes as required
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- 2+ years' experience in an Infrastructure Engineering role supporting both on-prem and cloud solutions (AWS)
- 2+ years Linux administration experience, including virtualisation
- 1+ years supporting SAN technologies
- Knowledge of automation technologies such as Terraform, Ansible & Concourse advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical people.
- Strong problem solver, initiate and monitor actions to investigate patterns to resolve problems.
