Chapman Tate Associates seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Veeam, VMware) to join this established IT Solutions provider with a major presence throughout EMEA. My client are a major player in providing services within the IT Disaster Recovery, Backup and Recovery Arena and have a number of household names as clients. 

This is a newly created opportunity, designed for a talented Veeam and VMware orientated Engineer to manage end-to-end Backup solutions customers providing pre-sales technical support, implementations and BAU work.

This IT Managed Services business are a highly-established Technology group with over 20 years experience supporting National clients’ DC Infrastructure, providing cloud services such as: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Hosted Applications, Desktop as a Service (DaaS), Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS), Online Backup and Recovery (Backup as a Service - BaaS) and Professional Services contract agreements.

As you will be dealing with a range of environments it is paramount that you have worked and supported environments within IT Consultancy/MSP/Reseller space.

The role will include the following:

-Site Surveys and Audits for customer environments

-Provide Hardware recommendations and develop technical solutions from pre-sales work from customers

-Document procedures and conducted work

-Hardware and storage installations

-Architecture work for DC environments where the required work will be installed

-Various proposals for the installation of 3rd-Party software and related Hardware

-Various project based work

-Project Management work

-Present solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

-Various ongoing project based work

This position would suit an experienced, infrastructure / Cloud Engineer who has ideally worked in an MSP or consultancy environment at 3rd line level (or above) and is comfortable client-facing environment.

Technically for this role you must have experience of:

-VMware (essential) and Hyper-V Server implementation and design experience

-Experienced with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV)

-Strong understanding and experience Veeam products (Veeam Backup & Replication, Veeam Backup for Microsoft365, Veeam Backup for AWS/Azure/GCP).

-Server Management and Installation around HP and Windows Based Servers

-Exposure to DC environments from a DR and Backup/Recovery perspective

-3rd/4th-Line experience

-Any experience with IBM Storage will be advantageous

Ideally you will have Industry Vendor certifications around Veeam, VMware, HP, Netapp or Microsoft i.e. VMCE, VMCA, VCAP, VCP, NCDA, NCIE, MCSE, MCITP or MCSA.
