Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer - £60,000 - Leeds
3rd Line - Hands-on

We are actively seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to joining our dynamic Infrastructure team, focusing on developing and supporting our global IT infrastructure across 100+ sites.

The chosen candidate will be required to support and maintain our global infrastructure, including critical components like servers, wide area and local networks, Wi-Fi, Windows Desktops, unified communications and cloud services.

Responsibilities will also extend to enhancing, optimising, and advancing the infrastructure, always with an eye on future scalability. You'll be managing multiple projects and responsibilities, offering insights and recommendations for maintaining the cloud, server, network, and security environments.

The ideal candidate will:

• Supervise the global transition from on-premise IT Infrastructure to a cloud-managed environment
• Manage and implement a variety of infrastructure projects
• Providing 2nd/3rd line helpdesk support including, handling routine support activities and mentoring
• Managing the security of both data and IT systems
• Proactively design and document infrastructure processes and procedures- preparing system and software documentation as required
• Ensure regular testing of backups and restore processes, maintaining both on-site and off-site backups of data
• Collaborate with the Global IT team on incentives and rollouts
• Establish working guidelines and document processes for designing and managing networked applications across the business
• Expertise in Microsoft 365 environment (AzureAD, O365, Defender, EndPoint etc)
• Project management experience including company wide hardware upgrades and rollouts
• Extensive experience across VMWare, ESXi and vCentre
• A minimum of 3 years infrastructure experience
