Senior Internal Auditor - Financial Services - Compliance - Edinburgh

M&R Talent are partnering with a well-established Financial Services, life and pensions administration provider. My client is looking for a unique individual who has significant experience in working in Compliance and Risk and from the Financial Services sector, In addition, someone who is looking for a new challenge in a 3rd Line role in Internal Audit, Auditing clients compliance functions.

The Opportunity

Due to recent growth, my client is currently looking for Senior Internal Auditor to join their function.

In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of the risk-based internal audit plan and delivering a portfolio of audits.

You’ll be;

• Identifying and assessing the risks to the organisations successful delivery of strategic objectives and recommending relevant audit responses
• Delivering audit assignments that provide an insightful assessment of the effectiveness of the controls in operation.
• Ensuring audits are delivered in line with agreed time-scales and budgets.
• Ensuring Conduct Risk and TCF principles are considered in all audit activities.
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members and deputising for audit leadership team when required
• Ensuring communication networks are in place and effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders are established.

You should apply if you;

• Have previous of working in Compliance and Risk
• Have a sound understanding of IIA Professional Practices Framework (not essential)
• Are well-versed with corporate governance, risk management and internal control.
• Possess a Financial Services background and a strong understanding of the FCA regulations.
