We are currently recruiting for a Senior Inventory Controller / Demand Planner to work within our UK team in our Inventory Control Department. This is a permanent full time role based in our newly redesigned London office.
You will be reporting into the Inventory Control Manager working closely with Inventory control, Merchandising Planning, Store Operations, Logistics, In store Merchandising, IT team, Global Headquarters and all retail teams.
What you will be responsible for:
As an Inventory Controller for UNIQLO Europe, you will manage in season inventory across all of our stores in Europe (UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Sweden, Netherlands, Denmark, Italy and Poland) as well as our E-Commerce platform.
You will work closely with the Inventory Control manager, Inventory Controllers, as well as the merchandising planning and store operations team to determine, understand and execute the planned inventory strategy for your selected product areas. You will also determine and execute the inventory strategy for selected countries working closely with the COO and retail teams to execute it correctly.
What you will be responsible for:
Determine appropriate stock levels by week, month and season and ensure settings reflect these targets, review progress, and take necessary actions to ensure KPI’s are achieved.
Undertake relevant analysis and use available reporting to make decisions and determine action plans for both department and country responsibilities
Manage settings for the auto allocation system to ensure company plans are being achieved.
Ensure stock consolidations are actioned on a weekly basis to optimise inventory across all channels
Work with store operations and COOs to highlight any outstanding issues and provide solutions where necessary.
Liaise closely with Logistics to ensure the end-to-end stock movement is cost and time effective
Assist the evaluation, development, and training of team members
Manage the team’s day to day work schedule and cascade any issues to the Inventory Control manager.
Support the continuous development of processes and procedures to drive efficiencies in the department.
What we are looking for:
At least 5 years of experience within a stock planning, inventory management or branch merchandising function.
Previous experience within the fashion retail industry is an advantage
Detailed understanding of relevant metrics and KPI’s relating to inventory management
Analytical and numerate with advanced excel skills required
Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team using own initiative
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the business.
