The NI Civil Service comprises nine Departments that support the Northern Ireland Executive and Ministers. We do this by developing and implementing government policies and legislation and delivering key public services. Our remit covers all aspects of public life here, including key areas such as health, public finances, justice, education, the environment and agriculture, infrastructure, communities the economy and the executive office. All applicants must meet either eligibility criterion 1 (both parts), or eligibility criterion 2, as below:1) At least a level 4 qualification in Computing, Software Engineering, or other discipline relevant to Information Technology. (Only those courses where a computing content of 50 or more can be demonstrated to the satisfaction of the panel will be considered relevant).AND3 year's management experience working collaboratively with senior leaders and managing diverse stakeholders tosuccessfully lead multidisciplinary team(s) delivering IT/digital products or services of significant scale andcomplexity,aligned to the organisation's strategic priorities.OR2) 5 year's management experience working collaboratively with senior leaders and managing diverse stakeholdersto successfully lead multidisciplinary team(s) delivering IT/digital products or services of significant scaleand complexity, aligned to the organisation's strategic priorities.In addition to 1 or 2, applicants must also meet eligibility criteria 3 and 4, as below:3) 2 years' Commercial or Financial management experience, managing complex relationships with customers and contracted suppliers and communicating business benefits between technical and non-technical audiences.4) 2 years' practical experience of successfully developing and delivering business efficiencies through IT enabledbusiness change projects, to ensure digital opportunities are fully exploited by the organisation(s).
