Job Description
- As part of the company's Infrastructure team, the Senior IT Network Engineer will design and implement new IT networking systems to support business objectives within a WAN / SD-WAN environment.
- You will perform regular system maintenance to ensure operational efficiency of the networking environment, including a Wi-Fi network which covers 600 sites across the UK.
- The business utilise the latest cutting-edge technologies, after significant investment across their IT landscape, including cloud technologies, so you will work with Azure and Cisco Meraki.
- You will monitor and troubleshoot system performance issues at a 3rd Line level, whilst also collaborating with the technology team to identify opportunities for system improvements.
- Conduct regular technology audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and advancements in technology.
- Whilst the team are based in Birmingham, you will have the flexibility of remote working when you wish, as the business promote a highly flexible, high-trust working environment which really prioritises work/life harmony.
The Successful Applicant
As the successful Senior IT Network Engineer you will have:
- Proficiency in network design, implementation, and maintenance at a 3rd Line level.
- Strong knowledge of network architecture and data security, ideally with Cisco / Cisco Meraki kit.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field (desirable, not essential).
