You will join this Bristol based business as a Senior IT Support Engineer where you will be accountable for analysis and implementation of second line support tickets. You will support the delivery of a stable and compliant end-user computing infrastructure to employees and selected business partners.
The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting and maintaining relevant technologies within a VMware – based Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, detailed knowledge of Microsoft Azure technologies and be able to demonstrate experience in technical support for hardware, software and networks technologies across the business.
As a Senior IT Support Engineer, you will have the career opportunity to progress into the 3rd line Infrastructure team.
In addition, you will need to demonstrate knowledge in the following areas:
- Experience of supporting Microsoft products (such as Windows 10, 11, End Point Management, Azure & Active Directory and Office 365
- Experience in LAN & WAN networking, cloud & web-based systems, user access control, client-side software and client management using Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, remote access tools, virtualisation support, multi-factor authentication, Mimecast and IP Telephony
- Experience with PowerShell
- Experience in troubleshooting issues with hardware, peripherals, printers and mobile devices
- Familiarity with DevOps and Agile methodologies
- A general background and proven aptitude in IT systems and software support
- Proven experience in an 2nd line I.T. Support role
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a calm and methodical approach
The role offers flexible working where you will be required onsite 3 days a week, 2 days remote.
