About the role
We are recruiting for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Senior IT Workstream Lead. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for leading and coordinating IT projects and programmes, ensuring adherence to standards, policies and agreements. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, you’ll deliver successful outcomes aligned with business requirements and IT service standards.
Reporting to the IT Applications Deliver Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading, planning, tracking and reporting on major/complex or multiple IT projects ensuring you follow IT best practise, Delivery Governance and the Secure Software Development Life Cycle Framework to manage stakeholders, dependencies, cost, quality and time within agreed parameters.
You’ll build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders within Group IT and the wider business, working with internal IT delivery teams and 3rd party suppliers ensuring timely and effective reporting, decision making and problem escalation.
Risk management is a critical part of this role, and you will be responsible for anticipating, monitoring and managing risks in line with NFU Mutual Risk Policy and NFU Mutual IT Delivery Processes, ensuring visibility and resolution or mitigation of risks to protect the project deliverables and agreed quality standards.
As a Senior IT Workstream Lead you will guide, mentor and coach your team to ensure best practise is shared to ensure the team continue to deliver positive outcomes.
About you
As the Senior IT Workstream Lead, you'll have experience of working within change/project management within an IT Division. You'll have proficient stakeholder management skills across all levels, with the ability to effectively navigate and influence decision-making processes, including the capability to diplomatically overturn decisions when necessary.
You'll also have:
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and remain flexible in approach
- Strong collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Ability to analyse situations, make sounds judgements and demonstrate effective decision-making skills in a complex and fast-paced environment
