Realtime is thrilled to partner with a leading Payments company that is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions to clients across the globe. Our client has seen major success over the past 3 years, going from 1 employee to over 200 across the UK and Ireland. As a Senior Java Engineer, you will join a brand new team of Engineers, and work on a payment gateway that has an average transaction volume of 800,000 daily. You will work with a tight-knit group of talented individuals to create high-quality code using Core Java, J2EE, Low latency, multithreading, and more, with a focus on making tech decisions.

As a Senior Java Engineer, you will:
•Be responsible for the design and development of backend, service, and portal systems that reside on the payment processing platforms. The platform has a daily transaction volume of around 800,000. Adding new features and ensuring the product is on top of the market.
•Understand client needs and execute requirements with high-quality code.
•Collaborate with the team to ensure that deliverables are accurate, efficient, and delivered on time.
• Thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, with a focus on problem-solving.
• You will be hands-on in development, and mentoring junior engineers in the team.
What you need:
•Experience in Core Java
•Experience in Low latency, multithreading, and concurrency
•Knowledge in JavaScript, HTML, CSS
•Understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
•Experience with Design Patterns, Refactoring, and OO Design
•Proven experience in translating Business requirements
•Strong problem-solving skills
