Job description

 

We are looking for a dynamic commercial property lawyer to deal with an exciting and varied range of local authority work.   The Property Team provides advice to the County Council, District Councils and to other external public bodies who engage our services.  Our work includes complex property work including property development work and project working, sales, acquisitions, deeds of grant, landlord and tenant work and legal research and advice.

About you

The candidate will have a background in property law and ideally have some knowledge of local government as a client (although this is not essential) will need to demonstrate an excellent knowledge and experience of commercial property work, good communication and I.T skills, an ability to work as part of a team and the ability to prioritise and work confidently and flexibly under pressure to deliver a high quality service to clients.   The role will require the candidate to act in a supervisory and supportive capacity to colleagues and in the absence of the Principal Lawyer to undertake certain management responsibilities.  

Ideally, the role is full-time but part-time hours will be considered

The position will be based in Lincoln but the Council has adopted a Smarter Working approach which means that the role will involve both remote working and office attendance.
