About the role We are looking for a Senior Learning Assistant to work as part of the Public Engagement Team. You will support the team in the development and delivery of the onsite and online public engagement programme for families, schools, adults and volunteers. You will research and develop new resources, learning materials and activities. You will gather feedback and act on this information. You will support the Public Engagement Officer and Education Officer in coordinating, organising and supervising volunteers. This is a fixed term, part-time contract, working 29.2 hours per week until 28th February 2025. Due to regulated activity involving children, the successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. About You You will have demonstrable experience working both independently and as part of a team. You will have experience of researching, preparing and delivering high-quality learning activities in a library or museum setting, demonstrating an understanding of learning from objects. You will communicate effectively and build working relationships with a diverse range of people and audiences following principles of inclusion and equality. Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of current policies and trends in UK primary and secondary education and how learning can be supported through access to cultural organisations, is desirable.
