The School of Psychology at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Senior Lecturer (Education) in Clinical Psychology. The successful candidate will support the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. This is a three-year full-time course leading to a professional qualification in Clinical Psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) as conferring eligibility for Chartered Status and approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) for training clinical psychologists. The postholder will teach, primarily on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and take on leadership responsibility for aspects of the functioning of the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology as well as contribute to other relevant programmes delivered by the school. This is a full time role but we would be open to the consideration of a part-time or a full-time appointment. The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria: A degree (UG or MSc) in psychology or very closely related subject. Professional qualification in Clinical Psychology or equivalent and eligible for HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist. Recognised excellence and reputation in subject specialism commensurate with career stage. Record of peer-reviewed publications and/or other scholarly activity relevant to the field. Evidence of successful supervision/mentoring of PGR students and/or research staff. University level teaching experience in UG and/or PG programmes to psychology students in the last four years, including delivery and assessment, preferably using innovative techniques and/or VLEs. Evidence of acting a leadership role regarding teaching activities (e.g., module coordination, course development or enhancement, programme director, year lead).
