Salary Hybrid - 2 days in the office per week (EC4) Salary to GBP65,000 This boutique law firm are currently seeking a Senior Legal Cashier to join their Accounts team. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with proven experience in a Legal Cashiering with strong bank reconciliation and SRA knowledge to take on more responsibility and have more autonomy.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will help ensure the smooth running of the firm s accounts function and support fee earning colleagues with client and office account cashiering. The role will offer exposure to a variety of different tasks daily. Typical responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Accurate disbursement postings to ensure ledgers are correct Bank and cheque reconciliations/preparation of cheques and processing bank transfers UK & US accounts) Dealing with internal/external queries to include clients, solicitors and other stakeholders and problem-solving Ensure that billing is correct and ensure that processes are accurate and on time Demonstrate solid compliance and knowledge of SRA Account Rules Liaise with fee earners and support staff regarding ledger queries Process invoices and direct debits Oversee maintenance of client and office accounts. Monitor expense claims and ensure credit cards accounts are reconciled and limits are managed within cash flow constraints Liaising with banks (UK & US)
Suitable candidates for the role of Senior Legal Cashier will have recent and substantial experience of a similar role within a legal environment having gained considerable exposure to the tasks outlined. They will be highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and have strong communication/interpersonal skills. They should demonstrate the ability to work with colleagues internationally and display an outstanding work ethic and enthusiasm. The ability to work to tight deadlines calmly under pressure is required. Strong computer skills are essential particularly MS Office/Excel. Knowledge of using Workflow is an advantage.
