Our client, based in Cambridge, is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel proficient in managing intellectual property (IP) matters alongside general commercial agreements, encompassing a variety of technology and IT contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, which will include technology and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) contracts.
- Provide expert legal advice on intellectual property (IP) matters, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify legal risks and opportunities in business initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations, including but not limited to GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), in all legal operations and contractual agreements.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 4 years of PQE experience.
- Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, ideally with exposure f Technology/IT contracts.
- A good background and expertise in intellectual property.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
