Senior Legal Counsel – Offshore Wind – Edinburgh, Scotland – €Excellent + Bonus

The company
A leading global developer in offshore renewable energy projects, with one of the broadest product portfolios in the industry.
The role
The primary focus of the role is to handle all legal matters relating to contracts according to "FIDIC" whilst collaborating with different jurisdictions across the Northern, Central Europe legal teams.
Wider responsibilities include:
- Promote and enable solutions in relation to all legal matters.
- Drafting, completing tender reviews and negotiations with customers working on a range of EPC contracts including FIDIC, LOGIC, offshore contracts with business partners (e.g. consortium agreements).
- Extensive knowledge in supporting the project execution phase.
- Completing Legal sections and risk reduction.
- Extensive knowledge in legal support during project execution to Project Managers and Contract Management.
- Providing the executive management with legal advice in relation to a range of business issues.
The person
The successful Senior Legal Counsel will likely have:
- Bachelors Degree Law LLB
- 3-5 years Legal Counsel experience in Offshore Wind projects.
- Experienced with EPC contracts associated to offshore construction – Wind turbines, Cables, Foundations.
- Experienced in FIDIC Yellow Book.
- Knowledge of commercial law and an understanding of legal commercial issues
- Ability in drafting and negotiating contracts, problem solving and dispute resolution
- Professional communication
