Job Title: Senior Liquidity Analyst

Salary: GBP40,000 to GBP50,000

Location: Solihull/hybrid

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am to 5.30pm

Position Overview: As a Senior Liquidity Analyst, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and forecasting liquidity metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. You will collaborate with treasury, business areas, and risk managers to ensure the accuracy of forecasts and representation of liquidity risks. Additionally, you will develop and improve forecasting methods, undertake analytical reviews, and support oversight of liquidity stress trigger events.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Deliver monitoring and forecasting of liquidity metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Reconcile actual ratios to prior periods and forecasts
  • Liaise with treasury, business areas, and risk managers to ensure the accuracy of forecasts and representation of liquidity risks
  • Develop and improve existing forecasting methods to enhance accuracy, speed, and efficiency of data
  • Undertake analytical review, variance analysis, and commentary on liquidity metrics and forecasts
  • Support oversight of front-line liquidity stress trigger events and potential liquidity stress
  • Actively promote skills and the desired mindset within the FP&A team to achieve team objectives
  • Work on ad hoc projects where liquidity planning is required
  • Develop and maintain adequate documentation, ensuring sufficient internal controls are in place

Experience Required:

  • Qualified accountant or studying towards a relevant professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA preferred)
  • Strong financial and analytical skills with a solid commercial acumen
  • Highly proficient in Excel with the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to motivate and challenge team members
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing environments
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently

In return for your hard work, you will earn a starting salary of GBP40,000 to GBP50,000 plus excellent benefits.
