Job Specification: Senior Litigator
Position: Senior Litigator Location: Tonbridge Salary: £50,000 - £56,000 per annum
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Litigator to join our team in Tonbridge. As a Senior Litigator, you will be responsible for handling litigation cases, preferably within the insurance sector. You will have a good understanding of Court Procedure Rules and litigation management, as well as the ability to negotiate claims successfully. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure are essential for this role. Additionally, the Senior Litigator should be proactive, customer service-oriented, and capable of taking on increased ownership and responsibility when required.
Responsibilities:
Handle litigation cases efficiently and effectively, preferably within the insurance sector.
Employ a good understanding of Court Procedure Rules and litigation management to ensure compliance.
Demonstrate proven capability in claims negotiation, aiming for favorable outcomes.
Communicate confidently and articulately, both verbally and in writing.
Pay attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all documentation.
Demonstrate tact and assertiveness when dealing with third parties and opponents.
Work well under pressure and meet deadlines consistently.
Take on increased ownership and responsibility as required.
Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Skills Required:
Relevant legal qualifications are useful, but not required.
Minimum of 1 year's experience in handling litigation, preferably within the insurance sector.
Good understanding of Court Procedure Rules and litigation management.
Proven capability in claims negotiation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Accurate with a high level of attention to detail.
Tactful and assertive when dealing with third parties and opponents.
