Job description

We're looking for a Senior LVIA specialist to assist with our high volume of broad-ranging development projects, which include coastal / offshore, countryside and urban settings. We offer an unparalleled opportunity for experience within the buoyant renewable energy sector and frequent fieldwork throughout Ireland is an integral part of the role.

We are a specialist landscape and visual consultancy that undertakes Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) for many of Ireland’s largest commercial and infrastructural developments. As a result of our recent integration within a major multinational, we are also beginning to work on UK based projects with a view to expanding into that market more broadly.

The successful candidate can look forward to working on a richly diverse portfolio of LVIA projects in terms of scale, sector and setting, as well as being part of a highly efficient, tightly knit team that also recognises that the workplace needs to be an enjoyable one.

The ideal candidate is a qualified and experienced Landscape Architect or Landscape Planner and has excellent written communication skills and experience in Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment. They will be able to manage their own projects, whilst directly interfacing with clients and lead consultants. They will also be expected to coordinate and sequence the internal deadlines of their colleagues responsible for mapping, 3d modelling and graphics, in order to meet external project deadlines.

Skills and knowledge should include;

  • Working knowledge of the Irish and/or UK planning system
  • Highly organised with excellent project management skills and the ability to manage a team with numerous projects and deadlines
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD
  • A passion for landscape
  • Strong communication skills and be an excellent team player who contributes to the continued growth of the company
  • A full driver's licence

Whilst the preference for this role is for the successful candidate to be based in our Dublin office, consideration will be given to remote working. Although we are currently recruiting for a senior LVIA staff member, we are always interested in hearing from individuals who have a passion for landscape and strong report-writing skills.
