Senior Management Accountant

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

Location: Manchester (hybrid working available)

Duration: 4-5 Months FTC or interim day rate (outside IR35)

Sellick Partnership has been assigned to recruit a Senior Management Accountant for a profitable and fast moving entrepreneurial tech business in Manchester. The business has grown substantially year on year and will continue to do so in line with their strategic plan.

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic fully qualified candidate ACA or ACCA or CIMA with exposure in a similar role. You will need to have experience in Quickbooks, but as a minimum experience with an equivalent software coupled with being proficient in Microsoft office suite (in particular excel)

Reporting to the Finance Director, the role requires an ambitious and proactive individual who will maintain existing financial processes, whilst reviewing them, and recommending areas for improvement. In addition the successful candidate will help to transition the Finance function from producing financial reports for a single entity, to one that produces group financial reports, which is a key milestone in their 5 year plan.

This role will suit a confident person who is comfortable dealing with a range of stakeholders, utilising those relationships to extract and share important information.

The successful person will be driven and determined in working to deadlines, whilst looking to find ways that we can improve our processes and how we do things.

You will be tasked with the below responsibilities:-

• Creation of an integrated cash flow/P&L/BS forecasting model
• Review and make recommendations to strengthen the month end income/cost recognition process
• Work with the Tech function to strengthen/automate processes & data integrity where possible
• Work with business stakeholders to strengthen flash P&L projections and quarterly overhead forecasting
• Responsibility for the finances of the business, monitoring financial performance and producing relevant reports, cash flow forecasting and month end management account packs
• General ad-hoc duties to assist and cover the Director of Finance and Commercial and the wider business

The successful candidate will be a ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified professional having gained experience in a similar role. You will have a positive, enthusiastic and hands-on approach backed with drive and ambition. You will need to be confident working with a diverse range of people and cultures and have excellent communication skills.
