The role
This role sits within the COO organisation including our Operations and Change departments. The heart behind our platform - brilliant people working together to deliver fantastic customer experiences and operational excellence.
As a member of the COO Leadership team you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and ensuring the seamless execution of strategic initiatives. You will be responsible for ensuring the team has the right data to run day to day operations, drive strategic initiatives and ensure our processes are fit for purpose and scale. You will also partner with COO and the broader leadership team to evolve and implement operational strategies, identify and implement process improvements, manage key performance indicators and effectively communicate critical information to internal and external stakeholders.

What will you be doing?
• Partner with the COO and wider Operational leadership team to evolve and drive progress against Funding Circle strategy in particular in scaling and multiproduct
• Lead and deliver continuous improvement and change initiatives, for instance automation, operating model and embedment of risk frameworks such as business resilience
• Work closely with department leaders to identify opportunities for operational excellence, implement best practices and drive process improvement initiative
• Own Operations OKR & KPI process - definition, tracking and refresh of performance and change metrics
• Manage end to end Operations and Change budget
• Develop and manage COO comms including MBRs, Board prep, All Hands, monthly updates
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including C-suite executives and MDs, to foster collaboration and drive strategic alignment.
What we're looking for
• Experienced in scaling operational organisations and being in an Operational leadership and/or business management role in a Tech/Financial Services company.
• A proactive problem-solver and decision-maker and an expert in several areas of operational excellence (e.g. prince2, six sigma, PMP/Lean or equivalent qualification) Business Administration and/or Management with a university degree in a related discipline and/or 5+ years of experience in a related field
• A highly effective communicator (written and verbal) with experience managing a range of stakeholders including C-suite executives. You enjoy collaborating with others and are skilled in influencing and guiding leadership to make decisions
• Able to interact directly and autonomously with a wide variety of stakeholders (ranging from C-suite and MD level through to mid-level execution teams)
• Highly organised. Someone who knows how to manage their workload, cope with multiple priorities and can organise their days and week effectively both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
• Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information
