You will join a world-class team delivering meaningful and innovative employer engagement activities for Imperial College Business School students and employers across a range of industries, sectors and regions. The team delivers events connecting students with industry, from Careers Fairs to 1:1 coffee chats and acts as a bridge between our talent and their next role through job, internship and project brokerage.
As Senior Employer Relations Manager for Growth Markets you will be creative, independent, and comfortable taking new ideas from need to reality. This role will be responsible for increasing the number of exclusive and impactful recruitment and employability opportunities for our students and will be excited to design the approach and manage projects and shared ways of working to achieve that goal.
This role is ideal for someone with a passion for trying new ideas, brokering partnerships and deep relationships and with experience in creating and delivering new opportunities. The role will take the spotlight for the team in key growth areas, at the core of the Careers & Student Life and upcoming Business School strategies.

Duties and responsibilities

You will be project lead for key strategic projects or workstreams, especially in new or growth areas:
- Leading projects autonomously that drive an increase in market presence, opportunities delivered or improve brand and perceptions
- Set the right processes for your workstreams, inspiring and recognising best practice in colleagues
- Be accountable for the success of your projects and be a visible point of contact for students, alumni, colleagues and employers
You will be responsible for driving excellence for Employer Relations support at MBA level:
- Ensure that our existing quality delivery always meets the needs of our pre-experienced students
- Have a deep understanding of this market to drive success: either through work in a similar university, experienced hire or MBA recruitment, corporate relations, or wider HR or talent acquisition experience
- Continually expand the opportunities available at this level through business development, partnerships and new project creation.
As a senior member of the team you will:
- Spot opportunity, lead additional projects and adapt ways of working to respond to new growth markets. You will bring expertise and creativity to break new ground and create opportunity.
- Be a diplomat and great teammate, able to mobilise, influence and inspire others
- Oversee budgets, workstreams and team contribution
As a member of the Employer Relations Team you will have a passion for supporting student success and enhancing their employment opportunities. You will generate opportunities and increase the profile of our students through:
- Market research and sharing insights
- Creating and communicating opportunity (such as jobs, internships and projects)
- Business development and marketing and communications
- Event management, online and offline, connecting our students with industry professionals and alumni
- Student and alumni engagement
Essential requirements

- Experience leading ongoing workstreams or short-term transformation projects independently
- Experience influencing at senior levels within industry
- Experience of business development and / or brokering new relationships and projects
- Significant evidence of professional experience in a similar or related role in a complex and fast paced environment
- Creative, with a proven ability to identify, plan and implement improvements to services and ways of working
- Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with colleagues, contacts and prospects
- Growth mindset and an ability to lead and inspire through change

This is a permanent, full-time placement and the candidate is expected to work flexibly, being on site at least 3 days a week at our South Kensington campus in London.
The role includes some international travel, and some evening events and activity.
We expect to offer first round interviews on 12th and 14th June, and second round interviews will be face-to-face on our South Kensington campus in the week of 24th June (likely Tuesday 25th and Thursday 27th).
