Salary:  £54,927- £64,216

Location: South Kensington

You will join a world-class team delivering meaningful and innovative employer engagement activities for Imperial College Business School students and employers across a range of industries, sectors and regions. The team delivers events connecting students with industry, from Careers Fairs to 1:1 coffee chats and acts as a bridge between our talent and their next role through job, internship and project brokerage.

As Senior Employer Relations Manager for Growth Markets you will be creative, independent, and comfortable taking new ideas from need to reality. This role will be responsible for increasing the number of exclusive and impactful recruitment and employability opportunities for our students and will be excited to design the approach and manage projects and shared ways of working to achieve that goal.

This role is ideal for someone with a passion for trying new ideas, brokering partnerships and deep relationships and with experience in creating and delivering new opportunities. The role will take the spotlight for the team in key growth areas, at the core of the Careers & Student Life and upcoming Business School strategies.

You will be responsible for driving excellence for Employer Relations support at MBA level:

  • Ensure that our existing quality delivery always meets the needs of our pre-experienced students
  • Have a deep understanding of this market to drive success: either through work in a similar university, experienced hire or MBA recruitment, corporate relations, or wider HR or talent acquisition experience
  • Continually expand the opportunities available at this level through business development, partnerships and new project creation.

As a senior member of the team you will:

  • Spot opportunity, lead additional projects and adapt ways of working to respond to new growth markets. You will bring expertise and creativity to break new ground and create opportunity.
  • Be a diplomat and great teammate, able to mobilise, influence and inspire others
  • Oversee budgets, workstreams and team contribution

  • Business development and marketing and communications
  • Event management, online and offline, connecting our students with industry professionals and alumni
  • Student and alumni engagement

Essential requirements

The job description has the full list of requirements, but some of the most essential requirements are:

  • Experience leading ongoing workstreams or short-term transformation projects independently
  • Experience influencing at senior levels within industry
  • Experience of business development and / or brokering new relationships and projects
