Registry and Academic Affairs
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager to join our department and lead the team to deliver student focused services for non–academic misconduct investigations. This role is responsible for ensuring University policies and procedures are followed, students receive an excellent timely service, cases are handled sensitively and the University continually learns to improve the experience for students. You will be an expert for colleagues across the University to call on to support making decisions and agreeing actions to progress cases in the best interests of Students and the University.
Please note this is a role that deals with serious misconduct investigations including allegations of sexual misconduct, bullying and harassment. The role involves dealing with sensitive and sometimes upsetting information.
Following a review, we are undergoing a period of change driving forward improving services to students and work in a more efficient and effective way. You will be an experienced manager with a proven track record in the delivery of high volumes of casework and high-quality services to customers. We are ideally seeking candidates that have relevant experience and have knowledge in investigatory work, applying regulation, managing teams, implementing change and problem solving. Excellent communication and networking skills are essential to building effective relationships with students, Schools and other Professional Services staff across the University to ensure our services are delivered with the student experience in mind. This role will review student reports through our online system, allocate casework, review of risk assessments including recommendation of precautionary measures and liaison with Schools and other departments. You will work very closely with our Head of Casework who will be responsible for overseeing all casework types. Knowledge of safeguarding would also be very useful.

This is a Fixed term opportunity, available for a period of 6 months. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours); however, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work less than full time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work less than full time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may also be considered.
