Senior Manager Indirect Tax / Vat

Working with a Leading Global Professional Services Firm based in the UK, who are looking to add Indirect Tax/VAT talent from Manager to Director for their Tax Service line.

We're excited to help them build their VAT expertise. They work with industry leaders across diverse sectors, including insurance, global capital markets, and the non-profit arena. Their team tackles complex tax challenges in these fast-paced and highly technical environments. To keep up with this dynamic landscape, they're seeking an ambitious and confident VAT specialist to join their growing team.

Responsibilities

• Delivering VAT reporting, ensuring VAT compliance and identifying risk.
• Minimising VAT liabilities and compliance issues.
• Identifying potential tax planning opportunities.
• Inputting into the group’s tax strategy.
• Managing the relationship with the HMRC and assisting them with any enquiries.
• Business development: In developing the VAT business, you will be tasked with identifying commercial opportunities and growing the client base.
• Build relationships with the Partners, with the purpose of leveraging VAT advisory work and identifying cross-selling opportunities.
• Supporting clients with a range of VAT enquiries.

Requirements

• Possession of a professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, ICAS, CPA or an equivalent accreditation.
• Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills.
• Commercial awareness.
• Good analytical skills and judgement.
